I got a terrible headache due to some troubles that I'm fighting with my mom and dad every single day. They have the old-fashioned opinions about the way that a Vietnamese woman HAVE TO live but I DON'T want to be that kind of woman at this time. I don't claim that I will be better than other Vietnamese women, I just want TO BE MYSELF.
:(
It's a generation gap between I and my parents. The differences between us are the normal things in our life and they happen every day. It will take a long long time to make them understand my choices. Fighting with them doesn't mean I disrespect them. I just want to defend my opinions and persuade them with my new decision. The time that I have to agree with all their choices and decisions is over.
The concept of generation gap is worthwile to mention because the way people overcome or submit the generation gap will influence the way they think and the way they live. My mom had to agree with me that she used to fight with my grandma about her choice to be a soldier when she was at the same age with me. However, the generation gap is widening due to the rapid growth of the space of life. That's why our differeces are more serious and it's harder to make my parents understand me.
Take it easy but seriously. It's easy to understand that there're always differences between different generations. But it should be considered seriously to find the way to overcome those gaps.

We should learn the way Japanese people do with their crafts.
I really love the way my sweetheart decorated his house mostly by Vietnamese crafts, even though he is a Western guy. I saw the table in the sitting room and the sheves in the bathrooms are made from rattan or bamboo. He uses "chiếu" (sedge and rattan mats) instead of sofa or chairs and we can have tea time sitting or lying on the mats like the Vietnamese people in the countryside. He has lacquer trays and "ấm tích", a kind of big porcelain teapot that Vietnamese people often use. He also decorated the walls by silks. All of those make me feel nice and warm everytime I come to his place.

Knowing about beauty
A young lady decided to wear a woollen dress after taking a shower. She turned on a CD named "The Brahms I love" conducted by Arthur Rubinstein, strained out the red hot spiced wine that she had made into to a glass, chose the perfume she loves and started a lonely night reading books. She knows that:
Music is a beauty.
Red hot wine in a cold winter night is a beauty.
Enjoying her youth is a beauty.
Living a real life is a beauty.
Studying as much as possible is a beauty.
Loving a nice man with no strings attached is a beauty.
And Being alone should be a beauty.
As a Vietnamese composer named Trịnh Công Sơn said, "Hopelessness is as beautiful as a flower".
Lovers come and go. There will be only herself left and she should be happy because she is always beautiful and life is, either.
Be beautiful, human.

A whole new ME
Keep writing is a really good way for me to keep reading, studying, and thinking. I did create blogs and used Yahoo!360 and then Facebook, but they were just places to have fun and keep contact with friends and I got bored of those because of too many members just wanted to show up themself by silly and boring stuff. I don't mean everyone did that because I do love my true friends on my facebook friendlist and they are really nice and warm, but others are not probably true friends and they annoy me sometimes. Let it be! :) Keep contact with friends by facebook and create a new blog for writing and sharing.
For my friends that already know my real name, please take my English name easy. :D You can call me Dung or Ốc if you are Vietnamese or if you are not Vietnamese but you can spell my name with no difficulties. Actually, I have many friends that are not Vietnamese and they feel hard to call my name and therefore never remember my name. In addition, when I went to class for learning French, my teacher asked me to have a non-Vietnamese name and I feel it would be so nice if I have one. I have reasons to choose the name Patricia but I'd like to keep it secret. To have a new name is a nice feeling that I feel myself extremely fresh. But "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet", I'm still myself.
Welcome to my blog and have a good time.
